厦门，宁德之行
Just
back from a 10 days' visit to Fujian, China, an enjoyable and fruitful
journey! Xiamen's advancements in various aspects has been nothing less
than impressive. , For example, they are now in active process in
constucting the first MRT in Fujian, will be ready by 2016. They have
their fast moving public city bus system called BRT, the first time I
have seen and experienced such a transport mode,
cheap and fast! The developments in Jimei(集美) to the north of Xiamen
island has been in leaps and bounds. There is a Xiamen North rail
station where fast trains (called 动车) with maximum speed of 200km/hr
passing through, making travelling to HK (Shenzhen) and Shanghai very
fast and convenient, a remarkable landmark, so that Xiamen becoming more
of a tourist attraction to both foreign as well as domestic visitors!
